Last night was exam night at the Watcombe Amateur Radio Club, three of us M3/M6 calls were taking the Intermediate License, here in the UK it basically allows the operator to run 50 watts, up from the Foundation level of 10 watts.
Well two of us passed,
Alan, M6DXU and myself, here is a pic of us with our pass sheets.

M6PCZ and M6DXU, soon to be 2E0PCZ and 2E0DXU ! |
Hello Paul, congrats with the new licence. QRP is very nice, but sometimes working with 30-40 watts digi modes will get you more DX! 73 Paul
ReplyDeleteCongratulations with the advancement, looking forward to seeing the new call on the blog.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations. Hope to hear you on with your 2E0 call.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the kind comments, will most likely be at the earliest, Thursday before I can apply via the OFCOM site for the 2E0 call, however we are off on our travels on Friday, so will be a couple of weeks before the up to 50 watts hits the bands.
ReplyDeleteWe are looking to go for the full license,M0, in February, which is the next availiable exam date, some serious study required in the meantime.
Congratualtions!
ReplyDeleteWell done Paul and Alan i knew that you could do it, look forward to hearing your new call signs.
ReplyDeleteI will come and see you both to congratulate you in person at the club soon, sorry i have not been of late but have had all sorts of minor health problems here but glad to say that they are on there way out now.

ReplyDeleteThanks again for the comments, and Ken I hope you are feeling better, everyone would like to see you up at the club.
ReplyDeleteYou all might think the photo was staged, with the poster behind, it wasn't, it's just where we happened to be stood when Adam took the picture, but I do think it does sum it all up,for me anyway..
