Hope you aren't planning on flying anywhere ?
The volcano eruption on Iceland and the consequent ash cloud has caused the suspension of all flights to and from the UK and most of Northern Europe.
All of this made me chuckle, with the recent BA strikes grabbing the headlines, here we have our planet showing who's the Boss, it's most certainly not us and definately not BA management or the Unions !

It can gives troubles for a few weeks, I heard today. My XYL and daughter planning a trip for Rome in about 3 weeks. Maybe they must cancel the trip. When we have bad luck and there is a earthquake at sea level there, than might be a tsunami heading for western Europe. And absolutely we'll have wet feet here. ;-) Signs for 2012?
ReplyDeleteThat is some cloud! I heard they had evacuated people in Iceland on Wednesday but didn't realize there had been an eruption. Makes us human beings look very small and insignificant by comparison doesn't it. I am bidding on an Icom F510 to replace my 817 for 2 meters and for Marine Band. May sell the 817 or just keep it for portable ops. Thought this was a good solution as for under a ton I can have both 2m and marine on the one colinear antenna in the loft.
